"Racism (What Does God Say About It)?"
Key Passage: Acts 10:34,35)
By Evangelist Clifford M. Smith, Th.D.

"Racism" is the favoring of one race over all others. It has "No" place in Christianity at all. God doesn't look at the outside, but looks at the "Heart!" As the song says, "Jesus loves the little children, all the little children of the world: red, yellow , black and white, they are precious in His sight: Jesus loves the little children of the world." In Acts 10:34, the Apostle Peter said "... that God is no respecter of persons: but in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him."

In the beginnig with Adam there was "One" race of people(There were later sects or tribes of people, but still "One Race"- Called the "Human Race"). As the world became wicked, God preserved the world of mankind through His servant "Noah" and his family (Total of eight "8" people- Genesis Chapters 7 & 8). After the "Flood", there was only Noah's family that survived God's Judgement. Noah's family multiplied and settled in the area of modern day "Iraq"(Known as the first civilization of "MAN"). The Bible says in Genesis 11:1 "And the whole earth was of one language and of one speech."But because the people of the world wanted to worship the "STARS"(Which is the religion of Astrology), God confounded their languages (At The Tower of Babel- Genesis 11: 4- 9) and caused the people of the world to scatter in three basic "Races" (From the three sons of Noah). Most Bible scholars believe, that at this time, the complexion of their skin and body also changed (The Bible does not give any details on the change of complexion, but ONLY in the confounding of languages).

I believe, that "No" particular race should ever be turned away from the front door of any church. In Revelations22:17 it says, "And the Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him that heareth say, "Come!" And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely." The Bible also says in Romans 10:13, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." I ,personally, have many acquaintances and brothers/sisters in Christ from all races. If churches, that I have participated with have to be categorized, well then, I have preached in one "Mexican" church, in three "Black" churches and numerous "White" churches. The message was the same in all of these churches (The Lord Jesus Christ as our risen "Savior" and "Lord" - Salvation is by "Grace" through "Faith" in the Lord Jesus Christ! : Galatians 2:8,9 ).

In closing, I realize, that we all take offense, when someone stereotypes our "race"(Or says, that all of any race is a certain way),because that becomes very personal. I urge you, to treat people as you would like them to treat you (The Golden Rule). Let me ask you this question, "How would you feel, if you or any member of your family was mistreated , because of race?" I really like the saying, "What Would Jesus Do?" As a Christian, we worship the same Lord, so why can't we worship Jesus together on the Earth? If you've been washed by the blood of the Lamb, why not be "Christ-Like" in your worship and in your daily life with all "Races? Always follow God's blue-print (The Bible) for your life and remember, that Jesus Loves You!"
